RECRUITER

Interested in research but tired of working long hours in a lab? This is an opportunity to be involved in active field recruitment. Approach and recruit New Yorkers to participate in a variety of biopsychosocial research studies involving the LGBT community. Be part of an academic environment; you will have the opportunity to partake in trainings and in-services, as well as foster working relationships with professionals in the fields of mental health, public health, psychology, and social work. Recruiting for CHEST is an excellent first step if you are considering a career in the social sciences. Our past recruiters have gone on to accredited graduate and doctoral programs and begun successful careers in both clinical and research in the areas of psychology, public health, sociology, and anthropology. Requirements:
  • Only serious applicants who can fulfill a minimum 6 month requirement with at least 1 shift a should apply.
  • Must be outgoing and comfortable with speaking to people about sensitive personal subjects in bars, clubs, and other night time venues.
  • Must have availability for alternative hours (late nights and weekends).
